“Let us love one another as God loves each one of us. And where does this begin? In our own home. How does it begin? By praying together”

St. Theresa of Calcutta

Praying together as a couple is the most important thing that you can do in your relationship. Whether you are married or engaged, prayer should serve as the foundation of your relationship. There is no greater way to grow closer to one another than through prayer. God’s love and grace is the bedrock of every Catholic Marriage. In praying with one another, couples open themselves up to receive those graces together and draw closer to God who is the source of all love.

Couples need to pray with and for each other. No one knows a persons hopes and dreams better than one’s spouse. To be able to pray with and for your spouse or fiancée is the most intimate experience you can ever have with them. Prayer is a beautiful and powerful way to share your faith with one another and center your relationship on God who is the foundation of loving marriages. As said so beautifully by St. John Paul II, “The family that prays together, stays together.”
