Christian Voices Together
The Christian Churches in Mullingar share the concern and upset that has resulted from the economic recession in the country and has adversely affected the lives and livelihoods of many people.
In response, a public meeting took place on Sunday 23 January to discuss what Christians can do to help the business and social community in Mullingar.
The meeting was well supported, facilitiated by Rev. Alistair Graham with Fr Padraig McMahon and Fr Paul Crosbie in attendance. A number of good ideas and suggestions have emerged which will help to address the current difficulties.
The next stage of the process will be a "Service of Hope" which will take place at the Cathedral.
