Sharing our faith with children
Ger Brennan joined us at Masses in St Paul's Church on Sunday 18 January 2015. Ger spoke to the children preparing for First Communion and Confirmation. He shared his faith in Jesus and the important role his parents played in giving the gift of faith to him.
Ger is a secondary school teacher in Dublin and captain of St Vincent’s GAA Club. He has won All Ireland medals with Dublin GAA.
He has previously worked in youth ministry in the Archdiocese of Dublin and was a key member of the committee that organised the International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin in 2012.
Thanks to Shane Dempsey and John Heslin from St Lomans and Lorcan Smith and Micheal Burke from Shamrocks who took part in the Mass. A special thanks to our catechists Davy Gavin and Helen Kiernan for organising the liturgy.
On Wednesday 28 January Meave Mahon, co- author of the Do This in Memory programme, will speak at 7pm in the Cathedral to parents of children in First Class who will receive First Confession this year.
At 8pm she will speak to parents of children in Second Class who will receive First Communion.
