Good Friday: the day Christ died
Ceremonies are taking place throughout the day, giving parishioners to opportunity to commemorate the day of the Lord's death for our salvation.
Morning Prayer is led by Aaron Slattery in the Cathedral at 9.30am.
The outdoor Way of the Cross, starting at midday from St Paul's Church and making its way to the Cathedral, is led by Fr Michael Kilmartin while the Way of the Cross takes place in Brotenstown, led by Fr Paul Crosbie.
The Passion of the Lord is celebrated at 3pm in the Cathedral by Fr Paul Crosbie, St Paul's Church by Fr Padraig McMahon, Walshestown by Joseph Naikarakudy and Gainstown by Fr Michael Kilmartin.
Confessions are available in the Cathedral from 4.00pm until 5.30pm.
Aaron Slattery, together with Helen Kiernan and Sr Annette, leads a Good Friday service for children and young families in St Paul's Church at 6pm.
Fr Joseph Naikarakudy presides at the Passion of the Lord, taking place in the Cathedral at 7.30pm.
